This short video from one of our nurses will walk you through how to administer your test and accurately interpret your results.
Important things to note:
- Use a timer and set it for 3 minutes. Be sure to read your test results between 3 and 5 minutes. It is only during this time window when your results will be accurate.
- A second line next to the T is a positive test, no matter how faint the line appears.
- It is possible to have a false positive test after 5 minutes. As the urine dries it can produce a faint second line known as the evaporation line. Tests should be discarded after 5 minutes.
